Hailey Lane is an emerging Australian photographic artist. Born (1986) and raised in Adelaide, she completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts with a major in Photography at the South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia (2012). During her degree, Hailey began taking journeys to locations across Australia, which saw her practice evolve around her relationship with the natural world. Underpinned by Romantic ideology, her ambition is to produce unique works instilled with awe and wonder, where imagination and emotion triumph reason and logic. Above all, Hailey’s practice can be discussed as not only personal but also theoretical; her practice displays an engagement between her emotional and physical environment, research and photography as an art form.
